Serving in Cleveland

Serving those in need was a big part of Jesus ministry. So at the Cleveland Church, serving Clevelanders in need is a big part of our ministry. HOPE worldwide, the benevolent arm of our church, is actively involved year round in service projects around our city and beyond. In addition, we want our kids to get involved in the action! We recently started a Hope Scouts troop where kids from kindergarten to 8th grade live out our motto, “never too young to serve!”  To learn more about how to get involved, please contact us here

The Homeless Stand Down

The Homeless Stand Down is a one-day event providing access to resources for individuals and families facing poverty and homelessness.

An estimated 1,500 guests enjoy access to social service providers, haircuts, medical screenings, live entertainment, professional portraits, breakfast and lunch, and free winter clothing, personal care kits, bus passes and much more.

The Walk for Hunger

Sadly, one in every five Clevelanders face hunger. Every year we participate in Cleveland’s Run/Walk for Hunger benefiting the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland. This past year, over $100,000 was raised to help fight local hunger. We at the Cleveland Church are delighted to help. We at the Cleveland Church are delighted at the opportunity to raise money and awareness.

Serving at the Food Bank

Our high school kids get into the action as well. They serve at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank bagging lunches for those in need. Several hundred bagged lunches were prepared and distributed to families in need.

Sound the Alarm

Each year we team with the Red Cross for their “Sound the Alarm” program by providing volunteers to install free smoke alarms in high risk neighborhoods

Thanksgiving Baskets and Christmas Toy Drive

Every Thanksgiving season, we team with Community Corner Food Center to provide turkey dinners to help brighten the holiday season for those in need. In addition, we team with Beech Brook to provide toys for children in the Cleveland area.
